Finally, while the main story revs up too slowly, the DLC’s finale came with a jaw-dropping twist I honestly did not see coming - and more than made up for the base game’s lackluster ending. Other quests, like diving through a claustrophobic underwater cave or going on a treasure hunt for antique revolvers, not only showcase Dying Light’s diverse missions, but give you ample opportunities to flex your free-running parkour skills in between driving the countryside, recalling what made Dying Light such a memorable zombie game in the first place. But happily, the sheer amount of things you can do won me over by never feeling like a chore - even when you’re literally raiding the post office to deliver forgotten letters. The concept of forcing you to do side quests in order to progress with the story could have easily gone South (as it has in many other games that seek to pad out their stories), and here it had trouble hooking me at the start. Or, you can competitively race with up to three other players.Ībove: Watch the Bounties trailer. The real meat of this expansion comes from The Following’s array of quality quests that follow Kyle Crane seeking gain the trust of the locals to get close to a creepy cult. Cooperative play capitalizes on this with the ability to climb in the back of another player's ride to pick off incoming viral zombies with ranged weapons like the new crossbow, which is ideal for quickly picking off bandits and zombies alike with satisfying headshots. Keeping the car in good working order breathes new life into Dying Light’s already expansive scavenging game, as cars littering the freeway - once only good for a quick glance in the truck - are now a potential gold mine for salvaging engines and siphoning fuel.Īs you level up your driver rank, you’ll gain access crafting better parts, install new reinforced cage parts to show off collectible paint jobs, and even turn your ride into a zombie-killing machine with ram bars, flamethrowers, and mine dispensers. Drive over anything other than a well-paved road, for instance, and your suspension and tires will slowly get worn out. Like your trusty but breakable weapons, the buggy is made up of several craftable and lootable parts that will break down over time in day-to-day zombie-killing use. While it’s rarely outright required for taking on any of the main story missions or the large amount of side quests, I never wanted to be far from it. After you kill off all of them, the power will go out.“It’s due to this spread-out and hazardous environment that the buggy's versatility really shines. One more bandit will attack from the top floor. You'll alert the second bandit no matter what you do. Take out a machine gun and open fire on them or attempt to neck snap one first. There are two bandits talking and standing next to a body up ahead. There is a ladder along the left side of the pool. Crane will swim past a few dead bodies and then swim into a pool inside the plant. Swim toward the end then turn left and then make a right. It's worth opening the pipe with yellow pipes on the pipe tunnel behind it since there is a racing trophy at the end, but what you want to open is the pipe tunnel to the right of that one – it's the only one with a lock on it. Resembling a character from one’s worst nightmares, Revenant's are easy to distinguish from other Infected. The Revenant is a highly toxic infected created from regular Monsters during the Black Monday bombings. This is a boss monster that is only found in certain areas, and has the ability to revive and boost infected in their zones. Crane can open and lockpick the pipe covers in the water on that side and one of them will lead him into the plant building. The Revenant is a monster in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Run to the back of the water plant and hop into the water. The front door is locked and Crane can't get in from the roof. Get in from the ladder along the south side of the fence wall. The pumping station is the water plant to the northwest of Jasir's Farm - the same water plant that Crane liberated in the Gaining Credence story quest when he fought the bandits for control of a clean water supply. He will tell Crane that he doesn't know what is going on, but the problem is at the pumping station. Crane will get the call for this side quest after he has reached the “Ally” rank for trust.
